I live in a city dominated by red. Flags and signs with the University's logo are basically everywhere you go and the school pride secretly grows on you day by day. After five weeks I have gotten pretty used to this, however every week on Saturdays I am still a little overwhelmed by the Badger Pride going on, cause Saturday is Game-day!
(Me and my sweet Sweedish friend Malin )
It was a freakishly hot day, and even though everyone was melting away in the burning sun, the energy and atmosphere was crazy. I know I have used overwhelming already but it practically is the best way to describe a stadium which fits over 80.000 people in which approx. 90% was dressed in red, cheering for the badgers.
Everyone was singing songs, (of which I should really start learning the lyrics) doing the wave and having fun! We enjoyed the marching band and the cheerleaders which was all so MTV -like, really fascinating. The badgers won again and satisfied with being a part of such a crazy event we slowly moved homewards hiding from the sun..
